NutriscanIA – Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Introduction

This document governs the use of the NutriscanIA application (hereinafter, "the App"), designed to help users manage their weight and calorie intake through manual or AI-assisted logging.

By using the App, you agree to comply with these terms and with applicable Chilean law, including Law No. 19,628 (Protection of Personal Data) and Law No. 19,496 (Consumer Rights).

2. Description of the Service

The App allows you to:

📸 AI food scanning: Automatic calorie estimation from photos (accuracy not guaranteed).
📊 Manual data logging: Calorie intake, weight and physical activity. The latter only for setting your initial goal.
📈 Progress tracking: Charts and metrics to visualize your progress.
❗ The App is not suitable for anyone under 18 years of age.
🗑️ Delete your account in the application at any time.

3. User Obligations

✅ Truthfulness of the information provided.
✅ Responsible use (do not use the App for medical diagnosis).
🚫 Sharing access credentials or using the App for unlawful purposes is prohibited.
🔞 Being over 18 years of age.

4. Data Protection

4.1 Data Collected

🔍 Personal data: age, email address (from your Gmail account), gender (optional).
⚠️ Sensitive data: weight, eating habits, physical activity (only for the initial calorie calculation), access to the application from your Gmail account.

4.2 Data Not Collected

❌ We do not collect login data from personal, corporate or educational email accounts.
❌ We do not collect credit, debit or prepaid card data.

4.3 Purposes

To personalize calorie intake recommendations.
To improve AI algorithms (anonymized data).

4.4 Rights

You may request:

5. AI Limitations

🧠 Limited accuracy: Photo scanning is an estimate. We recommend verifying the data manually.
⚠️ Not a substitute for professional advice: The App does not replace nutritionists or doctors.

6. Intellectual Property

🖼️ Images uploaded by users are their property, but the App may use them to improve its services (anonymized).

7. Modifications and Termination

🔄 We reserve the right to update these terms (notice will be given by email or within the App).
⛔ We may suspend accounts that breach these conditions.

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for:

Damages arising from misuse of the App.
Errors in calorie estimates or metrics.
Data loss due to technical failures (backing up your information is recommended).
